TomTom RIDER drivers are tiny programs that enable your GPS hardware to communicate with your operating system software. Maintaining updated TomTom RIDER software prevents crashes and maximizes hardware and system performance. Using outdated or corrupt TomTom RIDER drivers can cause system errors, crashes, and cause your computer or hardware to fail.   To activate your prepaid promotion or activation code in MyDrive Connect, do the following:

  1. Connect your navigation device to your computer. Switch on your device.
  
  
  2. If MyDrive Connect doesn't open automatically, click the MyDrive Connect icon ( or or ) in the Windows notification area or Apple® menu bar and then click MyDrive Connect.
  
  
  3. If you are not already logged in, enter your email address and click Log in. You can select 'Remember my email address' so you don't have to enter it next time.
  
  
  4. Click on Enter An Activation Code at the bottom of the page.
  5. If you have more than one navigation device linked to your account, you can now select which device you wish to use the activation code with.
  6. Type in your code, select the checkbox to agree to the terms and then click Activate.
